Dr. Vinay Parameswara

Vinay was born in Bangalore, India in 1973, and at the age of 18 enrolled in medical school.  By age 36, he had accomplished the following:
 
  • MD, Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute
  • MD & Residency, Internal Medicine, University of North Texas, Fort Worth
  • PhD, Basic Science, UNT, Forth Worth
  • Masters Degree, Public Health, UNT Forth Worth
  • Member, Mensa International
 
After Vinay wrote his graduate thesis as a focus on diabetes, he subsequently spent 5 more years on research in the field.  His medical interests are focused on diet and wellness.
 
He has lived in Austin for over 3 years and considers the capital of Texas his new home. His wife, Dr. Aditi Sule, is a pediatrician. They have two children.  
 
When Vinay is not in the office, he spends his time meditating, practicing yoga, doing yard work, enjoying time with his family and playing with their Siberian Husky.

Rita S. Thomas, RN, MSN, FNP-C
Austin, TX

Rita completed her associate degree at Humber College of Applied Arts & Technology in Etobicoke, Ontario. Ms. Thomas’ first job as an RN was in Wilson, NC on a general medical floor. Rita then worked for the University Health Network at the Toronto General Hospital caring for patients on the multi-organ transplant unit.  She then went on to work at Straub Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii for six years on the Medical/Surgical Floor.
 
Rita’s has a passion for helping others find success, so, naturally, her teaching background includes Medical/Surgical Nursing for Hawaii Pacific University, Leadership and Management in Nursing and Nursing Theory for the University of Phoenix, Assistant Professor of Pediatric Nursing at Austin Community College, as well as instruction for the NCLEX-RN preparation course.  Ms. Thomas is a member of the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
 
In her spare time, Rita loves to read, drawing, painting and writing.

Asha Inniss, MS, APRN, AGNP-C
San Antonio, TX

Asha Inniss is a Certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. Asha completed both her associate and bachelor degrees in nursing from Edison State College in Fort Myers, Florida.
 
Asha has worked in a variety of nursing settings, such as hospice care, cardiovascular, long-term care, endocrinology, and gynecologic oncology. Asha is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing-Beta Houston, and The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
 
“My passion for helping others allowed me to advance my career through multiple academic scholarships.  I always find the time to volunteer at The Houston Food Bank, Red Cross, and many other community projects.”
 
In her free time, Asha enjoys sightseeing, traveling, puzzle building, movies, and reading.
